Message “coresuite customize: coresuite designer has not been installed"

issue description

Upgrading coresuite modules to version 5.25 might result in error messages such as coresuite customize: coresuite designer has not been installed. Even after multiple addon/SAP Business One re-starts coresuite designer will not successfully upgrade/install and not be available; at times the issue only occurs a few days after an Upgrade.

 

troubleshooting steps/tips

The issue is primarily reproducible if "Fast Load" is enabled (Administration->Add-ons->coresuite administration->Global module configuration (Tab)->Advanced Settings (Button)->Performance Management (Tab)=>"Enable Fast Load") activated.

Please verify, if you are using this functionality.

 

solution

a) Fast Load is not enabled

  1. Please close SAP Business One
  2. Empty the temp folder (%tmp%) - ensure that coresystemsag_shadowing folder and its content is removed
  3. Restart SAP Business One via right-click->run as Administrator and start the coresuite addon

The coresuite designer should load successfully after a few SAP Business One/coresuite addon restarts. Once coresuite designer is running successfully, the other modules will also run without any issues. 

b) Fast Load is enabled

  1. Please disable "Fast Load" via Administration->Add-ons->coresuite administration->Global module configuration (Tab)->Advanced Settings (Button)->Performance Management (Tab)=> remove tick from "Enable Fast Load"
  2. Close SAP Business One
  3. Empty the temp folder (%tmp%) - ensure that coresystemsag_shadowing folder and its content is removed
  4. Restart SAP Business One via right-click->run as Administrator and start the coresuite addon
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 on every workstation 
  6. Reactivate "Enable Fast Load" again
