Description
The connection window occurs on every login attempt into SAP Business One. You will be asked to input the DB-User and the DB-Password.
Reason
The connection string is saved in the user-defined-table SWA_SWA_CONF. Most probably it has been corrupted due to an "unclean" installation or upgrade of the coresuite addon.
Solution
- Make sure that nobody is logged on the system. Everybody must be logged off from the company database.
- Make sure that you have Full Read & Write Permissions on the COR-folder (%Program Files (x86)%\SAP\SAP Business One\AddOns). A windows user with admin rights is required.
- Start SAP Business One via right-click as administrator (Super-User is recommended)
- Make sure that coresuite addon is not running.
- Go To Tools --> User-Defined-Windows --> SWA_SWA_CONF
- Remove all entries there and make sure that this table is empty.
- Restart the coresuite addon.
- You will be asked for the credentials again (but that is OK).
- Input your DB-User and DB-Password and check the behaviour.
If the steps above do not solve the issue, do the following :
- Remove the table SWA_SWA_CONF via Tools --> Customisation Tools --> User-Defined Tables - Setup
- Restart the coresuite addon.
- You will be asked for the credentials again (but that is OK).
- Input your DB-User and DB-Password and check the behaviour.
