Get application crash logs

Issue Description

If you encounter problems on the mobile, we may ask you for crash logs. The crashlogs contains technical information why the app crashed, this help us a lot to solve your problem as fast as possible. Just do the following steps to get the crashlogs:

Solution

1. Connect your iPhone / iPad to your computer

2. Sync with iTunes

3. Navigate to:

Mac OS X: /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/[device name]
Windows XP: %SYSTEMDRIVE%\Documents and Settings\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter\[device name]
Windows Vista / 7: %APPDATA%\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\[device name]

4. There should be a list like this:

crashlogs.PNG

Important for us are the files starting with "coresuite" (*.crash), these are the logs for the coresuite app. It's also helpful if you add the log files (*.log), they may help us to find memory leaks.

5. Zip the files and forward it to us.

  • Hello,
This procedure was written in 2014 and I am wondering if it is still valid.
One of our iPads is giving random synchronization errors in FSM and I would like to get the log files for analysis.

    Thank you,

    Joao
