Problem

Cube menu is not visible in SAP.
 

Discussion

Possible reasons:
1. The client is installed on an older OS, e.g. Windows Server 2003 and the following error is seen in coresuitedebuglog.xml:

Verbindung zu Server 'srv-easl-02' nicht möglich. Der Server wurde entweder nicht gestartet oder er ist überlastet. bei System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnectionInternal..ctor(OleDbConnectionString constr, OleDbConnection connection) bei System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnectionFactory.CreateConnection(DbConnectionOptions options, Object poolGroupProviderInfo, DbConnectionPool pool, DbConnection owningObject) bei System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionFactory.CreateNonPooledConnection(DbConnection owningConnection, DbConnectionPoolGroup poolGroup) bei System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionFactory.GetConnection(DbConnection owningConnection) bei System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionClosed.OpenConnection(DbConnection outerConnection, DbConnectionFactory connectionFactory) bei System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection.Open() bei COR_Cube.Data.SSAS.TestConnection()
 

Solution (see discussion above)
