Dear customers and partners,
with the 2205 release (scheduled for May 20, 2022), an improvement of the behaviors for released service calls and activities that are reassigned to another technician or that are unassigned is planned.
What is happening?
A harmonization of the planning actions unassign and release.
What benefits will this bring?
- When reassigning a released activity to another technician, the activity will directly be assigned to the new technician and no copy of the activity will be created
- When unassigning a released activity, the activity will again be available in the planning list and no copy of the activity will be created
How can you onboard yourself and support us?
With the release 2205, we encourage you to adopt this change within a time period of 6 months. During the 6 months, you can harmonize the integration, adjust non-standard integration, and adjust business rules to support the new behaviors. After the 6 months, the new behaviors will be effective by default.
For more information, please follow this link: Harmonization of planning actions for unassign/release without copy (2205 Release)
Please note the following:
- When you have a standard integration with C4C and a modified or released activity gets unassigned, the technician assignment of the activity is not updated in C4C. We plan to solve this with the 2208 release.
- Standard integrations with B1 are not enabled to manage draft activities meaning activities that are not yet planned or assigned. Therefore, certain activity information are not synched back to B1 when a modified or released activity gets unassigned. We plan to solve this with the 2208 release.
The approval functionality is currently not supported. Customers who are using the approval functionality will be able to adapt the the related processes with the 2208 release. For more information about the approval functionality, see Approval Process for Activities
