Populating J.E. matrix based on sql statement

Dear all,

a question about matrix...

I open the Journal Entry Form (in add-mode).

When I press an ad-hoc button I'd like to automatically populate the matrix using a SQL SELECT

for example,

Select Account, ProfitCode, Credit, Debit

from .....

where ....

Is it possible to popolate the matrix based on a specific query?

Since it's a system datasource you can't manipulate it.
