Drag and drop files as attachments?

Hi there



I was wondering if anyone know or has a solution for drag and drop documents or files into SAP Business One.

We recently upgraded towards SBO 8.82 PL06 and automically the "attachment" folder is added to the marketing documents and Business Partners.

However, I really don't like the way how SBO is handling and storing its documents. Therefore I would like to create a folder with drag and drop functionality so that I'm able to catch the event and upload the document towards our document management system and automatically add some meta-data based upon the current marketing document in SBO. For example: Attach the customers order confirmation which is sended by fax, e-mail etc. to the sales order.

Hi Marcel,

we implemented drag and drop using a .NET form inside SAP Business One.



If you install country package (version 3.65) in German or Swiss localization you ca see how it works under Financials > Import Journal Voucher from Excel.

I'm not sure if and how I could install a German Localization of Coresuite Country Package in a demo administration.



I assume that your created form handles the Excel document based on a drop event ?

Would be very interesting! Otherwise I need to create some code which handles the Attachment Grid....

only the SAP database should be in German or Swiss localization.

country package will detect it and act accordingly.



Yes we are reacting to a Drop event.



If you want we could organize a remote training of 3/5 hours where I can show you the code implementation, how to create .NET forms and how to interact with such events.

i have to do a demo next tuesday; and of course the office outlook integration is poor for SBO so how can we use the .net

Hi Philippe,

the drag and drop is for "Import Journal Voucher from Excel" so it means that you drag and drop an Excel sheet on a specific area of a UI and such xml is read and Journal Vouchers created in the system (see attached screenshot [attachment=307:screenshot.png]).



If you need to extend the import of e.g. emails a custom development should be done. For this you should develop your own module using our framework and implement such functionality.



If you would like to know how to develop your own module and use drag and drop I could provide you with a remote training session.
