Read only template
Carl Verhagen
Hi all,As of the new Accounting release 2.0 or 2.02, some layout definitions (f.e. FIN5406 + 5410) are Read only templates.
In earlier releases this wasn't and changes could be made.
Can this be changed or do we have to create a new layout definition and match it to the menu.
Unfortenately I don't know how this works, so some explanation would be helpfull then.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Carl

Hi CarlYes we decided to mark them all as Systemtemplates meaning that no Changes can be made to the template (Simplifying Support)
Of course you can still duplicate the Layout (Rightclick -> Duplicate on LayoutdefinitionForm) and make your changes there.

Hi Philipp,Thanks for your answer.
I've made the duplicate, but don't know how to match it to the menu.
Normally you can import the new layout in the printdefinition, but this is a different one.
Can you please give me some information?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,

Hi carlJust assign the menuid on the LayoutDefinition directly.

Hi Philipp,Thanks for your answer, however something doesn't work right.
I duplicate the layout definition (everything from the original layout definition is copied incl. the word New...), changed the form and deleted the menu descripitionposition (if available) from the original layout definition.
However from the Startmenu, the original report is still created??
I think I'm changing the wrong field in the layout definition, however I can't find the field Menu-id you mentioned or did you mean Menu description or Menu position?? See attachement.
Regards,
Carl

Hi CarlYes thats because the layout has a system menu uid which cannot be changed.
But you should be able to adjust the security so that i doesn't get added in the menu.
-> Layoutdefinition -> User Rights -> Check "enable only for ..." and do NOT add a user to the list.

Hi Philipp,I'm sorry, but I'm not able to hide the report.
I did what you told and try to change the authorisation by the layout definition tab User, Authorisation button.
Here I just can't find anything related to the accounting menu reports.
Please tell me or send a screendump how to handle this or where to look to change the security.
I'm really sorry to bother you again, but it was just easier in the former releases without a read only templates.
Please help.
Regards,
Carl

Hi CarlYou just need to check the checkbox.
Please have in mind that superusers always will have this layout in the mneu -> try with an accounting user
