Optimizer function doesn't start
Emanuele Croci
Dear all,I developed an optimizer function on our customer SAP B1 server.
It adds a new folder in the item master data form.
It works if I run SAP B1 client on the server, but on al the client PCs the folder is not added.
I use the same "manager" SAP B1 user on the server and on the client PCs to login into SAP B1 company.
On the PCs, the customize administrator menu items are visible and I can modify the code of the function.
I also tryed to insert a MessageBox.Show("....");C# command in the first line, but it is not visualized when I open the item master data.
It seems that the function is not executed on the PCs.
Should I activate any authorization into SAP B1?
Can someone help me, please?
Best regards
Emanuele

Dear all,I still analyzed the issue.
On the PC, the Customize SAP menu is visualized. I can activate/modify/create rules, etc...
but the Customize Event Log doesn't trace anything.
On the server, with the same SAP user, the Customize Event Log trace all the events.
Does the customize use a specific service or tc/ip port?
Can be the problem related to a firewall lock?
Why should the customize event log work only on the server and not on the client PCs?
Please, can someone give me information about Customize event mechanism?
Please, help me, because my customer needs an answer as soon as possible.
Best regards
Emanuele

I noticed another strange thing...On the server, logging into SAP B1, every time Coresuite installation restarts (as it would be the first time I log into SAP after the first country package installation).
On the server, the customize functions work fine (the events are catched by the customize event logger).
On the other PCs, the customize event logger doen't catch any events.
Someone help me, please? It's a big issue for the customer.
Best regards
Emanuele

Dear coresystems forum team,I'm an SAP Partner.
The problem is that the customer has "problem" with its actual SAP partner, and asked to us to help him to solve the issue of Coresuite/Customize installation.
I don't know if I can open a ticket to the Support if the customer has not a maintenance contract with us.
Best regards
Emanuele
