Share DLL or SIP Files around the World
Sebastian Schweer
Hallo Together,I have the following problem.
I created different rules in Coresuite Customize and use for them also external DLL Files to store functions and other parts of the code.
So far so good. But we have a lot of locations around the world, and if i found a bug in one of the DLL Files or have to change something
i have to do a lot of work. Compile the DLL again, create SIP File, Start B1 in every location, load coresystems, load the Sip, restart B1...
For every location this step takes a lot of time. So I'm searching for a better soluion and have the following idea:
If i load a new/updated SIP File to the system, the SIP File will also be stored in the Database.
Exactly in the Coresuite Database in the Table Modules with the current Date and a hashentry and so on.
To share now this SIP File around the World, it is possible to copy the SIP File via Database Update from one Server to another.
Of course i will look out for the id, so that this entry is not double in the database and the next in line.
And also i will take care, that on Servers is the same version of Business One and coresystem installed.
But is this approach legal in general to share the sip from the development server to all productive servers?
I would be very nice, if someone can answer me that.
Thanks and best regards,
Sebastian

Hi Sebastian, this at the moment would probably work but we do not guarantee that is gonna work in the future.
Officially is not supported because in case we decide to modify the table structure or the distribution mechanism we can do that in every moment without giving notice.
