Make a field visible when the documents prints at a specific printer
alex oosterom
Hello,For our customer we have set-up a fax configuration with microsoft fax service. That works all fine. The only thing is that their logo in the header is set to not visible for printing because they have letter paper with the logo already printed on it. But when they select the fax from the printer list, the logo must be visible.
So my question is; Is it possible to say in the visible field:
Visible when the printer name is by example 'fax' ?
Thanx,

Hi Alex,You can use Free Text in the Printdefinition to achieve this. In the RSS Designer set the visible property of the logo using the following:
GetData("LD.Par.FreeText") <> "xxx" where xxx is the Free Text from your Printdefinition.btw.: did you really get B1 to fax using the MS Fax Service? What versions of B1 and Fax Service are you using?
I tried everything but never got it to work directly without using the Exchange email->fax service routing as .

Hi AlexPlease follow the intructions given by Franz.
Some additional comments:
cld determines the correct printing depending on a lot of parameters. One of the is last Page, first Page, ...
Thats why at rendering time there is no possibility to get those printernames.
