How to remove minus sign from negative number?

Hi there,

On my invoice, I'd like to get rid of the "minus" sign in front of negative discount percentages, because we use discounts and extra charges.

I've had it changed it so the word "discount" turns into "extra charge" when the value is negative.

This line is added:
iif(isFC,Document("DiscSumFC"),Document("DiscSum"))*-1
and it works perfectly; the value is always positive now.

But now I only need to get rid of the minus, e.g. "-2 % extra charge" needs to become "2% extra charge". Can you tell me how?

If this is an single Expression in a field you can format the field with the designer.

There you find a type "number" and also the negative pattern which is what you need to change.

Hi Philipp,

unfortunately I can only change the place of the minus sign in a negative number like "-n" or "n-". I cannot choose not to show it at all.

So far I've found a solution that almost does the trick; I've placed a square with a white solid fill over the minus sign, and it is almost completely gone now.
