Matrix Report

Hello,

I would like to design a matrix report that uses an X and and Y dimension, and lists details of the records in cells. This may sound like a Pivot Table except that I do not want totals on the right, nor at the bottom. In addition, in de details of records, I would like to be able to open for instance a Production Order when I click on the cell, so in other words, I would like to setup hyperlinks for the cells.

I have tried this with the Pivot Table Object, but it does not allow me to hyperlink, nor does it allow me to drop the totals - unless I am missing something.

Is this possible at all, or is there another way to do this?

Here's what I need:

The data records:
X1 Y1 PO1 20
X1 Y2 PO2 40
X2 Y1 PO3 30
X2 Y2 PO4 15

Should display as:
--------Y1--------Y2----
X1---PO1 20---PO2 40
X2---PO3 30---PO4 15

Whilst being able to open the PO's when clicking on them ...

Hi Steven

Yes Pivot cannot handle Hyperlinks.

But maybe the following approach works.

- Use a Side by Side Element
- Put two Advanced Databands with Detail into it
- Filter one DatasBand with Y1 the Other with Y2
