How to fill the body of an email with data from SBO, together with text?

Hi Philipp,

Is it possible to join data from SBO with fixed text in the body (not the attacherd document) of an email?
I would like to start the email with:

'Dear Philipp' in stead of 'Dear sir' and this name 'Philipp' comes from the BP's contacperson.

Next to that, is it possible to edit the rest of the body's text in the same way as done with the RTF-editor? And, is it possible to print this edited text in order to get a nice looking email-body?

Yes this is possible.

You may use for example:

SELECT 'Dear Wim ' + CHAR(10) + CHAR(13) + 'Thanks for using coresuite designer Version ' ' + GetData("B1_Data.SomeTable.SomeColumn") + CHAR(10) + CHAR(13) + 'Best Regards'
...
...

Html Bodys will be supported with next Version. (Already in the actual beta)

Hello Philipp,

I've changed the content in the 'Email text' on the Print Definition, subpage 'Email/fax' as described (at this stage without using B1data).

However, it returns message "Line 1: Incorrect syntax near '10' "

Any suggestion?

And when will the next version be available?

Because the query error:

If it runs in queryanalyzer it should work in coiresuite too.

Don't expect next Version before mid of December. If you need the beta please let me know.

Why is the email-address of the addressee aliased like 'Toevallig' (which means Rondom in English)?

Is it possible to CC or BCC the email to the sender as well?

We are working on the new version.
I expect a new beta end of week.

I don't know from where this alias is coming from. Seems to be an email client setting.

And yes you can also dynamically assign CC, amd BCC.

I still get no email on the BCC. I've used a query which runs ok in the query analyser to fill in the BCC email-address.

I've just installed the updates :
CoreSuite installer 2.23
CoreSuite base (framework) 2.29
RTF-editor 1.3

Do I need another version (of what module)?

Another question: if I fill the body of the email with a query-statement as described by you, I get the next message:

'GetData' is not a recognized function

Am I missing something?

Yes my bad. GetData(...),Data(...) will work only when running from designer scripts.

Here you have to use regular sql statements meaning you have to join the tables you need.

I've installed a Beta (sent by Philipp Knecht via email) and now, 'Toevallig' is not shown/used anymore. This Beta was installed only on my pc. How can I easily install this Beta on all customer's pc's?
