SIP packets
Dwight Matthys
Hi,I was wandering what happens when I make a SIP packet and install this on one company, is it installed on my others companies too?
Situation:
ASipPackage.SIP
SQL server with 3 companies:
SBOComp1
SBOComp2
SBOComp3
I install the SIP package in SBOComp1, is it installed in SBOComp2 and SBOComp3 too? Since this is the behaviour we get when installing own SIP packages.
Kind regards,
Dwight

Hi DwightYes this the normal behaviour.
You can set the according printdefinitions to "inactive" or remove the MenuUID in the Layoutdefintion (UserQueries) if you don't wanna have them on a company.
With new beta you can even assign userrights to layouts which is then another possibilty to control the behaviour.

Hi Philipp,This is kind of annoying, since we have a customer who has two companies and wants almost the same layouts, so there are a few minor differences. We want to only install the SIP package on the database that needs it, not on the others, since this can clash with our names...
Maybe a feature for the beta of tomorrow :-p
Now serious, is this behaviour planned to change in the future by eg an option to install the SIP globally or local?
Kind regards,
Dwight
