Add new menu - beginner questions

Hi,

I am pretty new to the coresuite customize module.

I am trying to add a new menu entry below the "coresuite reports" menu, so directly in the root module path.

I am using SAP 9.0 PL 04 with the latest suite 3.90 by the way.

My questions are the following:

1.) I was able to add a new menu node to the existing modules (parent uid is 43520), although, it appears only in the dropdown menubar but not in the Module bar on the left side...what did I forget?

2.) How do you properly use special characters in the menu title? E.g. the "&" character? Is it correct to write "&&" instead?

3.) Right now I need to restart the SAP client in order to see changes, e.g. after having renamed a node in the "New Menu" form and having clicked OK, the menu doesn't get updated. Is there any othe possibility?

4.) How can I use images properly? I tried to use a small bmp but I don't know how to set the path correctly..is it a relative or absolute path?

Ok, please forget question 1.) after a restart of my PC the menu now appears also on the left side..

So still 3 three questions to go ;-)

At least the question with the image....has anybody a working a sample with a new menu item where an image has been linked?
