PDF Creation
Erik van Dongen
Hello,I'm using an XML file to execute a print definition (batch printing). First i only printed the document, which works fine. Now i also want to save the printed document in pdf format. Therefor i checked the pdf box, defined an export filename on the document tab and the export path on the email/fax tab. After restart, the document is still printed but not saved as pdf. I also tried it by checking the box "Print after Save" but it gave the same result.
Please help me with this issue.
We have SAP B! 2007 A PL 45 and coresuite version 2.44
Thanks,
Erik

Thanks for the quick reply. If i change this, the pdf is created and showed on the screen but the document is not printed anymore. If i want to create the document AND print it, should i create two xml files? One for printing and one for pdf creation or can i do in in one batch?
Beside this i have two other questions about the pdf creation.
I want to have a dynamic name with for example: CardCode_DocNum.pdf How can i achieve this?
Now the pdf is opened on the screen. This is not what i want, i just wanted to save it on disk without opening it. How can this be done?
Thanks again,
Erik

Hi EricYou have several options here.
You can start the PDF creation from within the layout itself
(Lookup for ExecutePrintdef( )
The path and the file naming can be defined in the printdefinition.
Or you can define another printdef and include that also in the xml.
You'll find also a setting on printdefinition which disables the opening of the documents after creation.
