Coresuite Novice Question
Greig Burrows
Hello,I am a complete Coresuite novice. One of our clients we inherited has Coresuite installed on their SAP B1 system.
The versions are:
SAP B1 2005A SP01 PL43
Coresuite: 2.24
The customer has a User Defined Table (UDT) in SAP B1 (attached "Buying Spec Matrix table.JPG") which contains additional values for every stock item in the system.
They would like to bring through these values onto the Buying Spec document which is produced on printing a Purchase Order.
When printing a Purchase Order, you are presented with a Selection Criteria screen which asks the user for the Stock Item (amongst other things).
If I enter an item contained in the UDT, I do not see any related information on the Buying Spec print (screenshot attached).
If I look at the layout designer, there are no references to the parameters on the selection screen.
I have 2 questions:
1. How do I display the Product Code field entered on the selection criteria screen?
2. How can I then use that field to select values from the UDT? Is it an SQL SELECT statement?
If the answer to both questions are "buy the manual and read it" I will understand!
Thanks in advance

Hi GreigYes in fact it is a good idea to read the manual :)
To get quickly up to speed you can also participate on a remote workshop.
But 2 hints i have for you:
- Every Parameter can be accessed throug the Datasources LD.Par - Tree which you see in the designer.
- You can link UDTs in the datasource by linking queries. Or you can follow the more quick and dirty approach by using the LD.QueryData(..) Function.
