Select printer

When you click 'print' in the main menu with the PLD a pop up window appears to select a printer.

Is there any possibility to do this with the Layout designer? For instance, if the user don't want to use the defined printer on the layout for one time.

coresuite designer has powerful methods to determine the correct printer.
Maybe if you tell me the usecase i can give you a better solution.

Besides that you can always skip the automatic printerselection in the preview and then press the RIGHT Mousebutton on the Printer Toolbarbutton.

we have this problems with our customers too. They all want to change/select the printer not only in the preview.
Maybe it is possible to develop something for this case?

we know that it is possible to choose it in the Preview, but the customers want to have it when they press the Printer-Button!

Maybe it is possible to change that?

Ok of course we can do that ;)
I suggest you the following solution:
- Make different Printdefs for the same layout and formtype and change the freetext to the printername (a shortname for the printer)
- Then go to the layout and define in the printer - tab for each freetext (=printer) the corresponding printer.
-> Keep the FreeText short and simple because it has to match!
