In a Nutshell

The Service Map can be used to better manage and plan service calls and activities that are created in the Workforce Management and/or Project Management apps and released to technicians to be completed in the mobile application.

A Closer Look

The Service Map consists of the following components:


The following filters are included in the service map:

Activity Subject The subject/title given to the activity. This title may also be inherited from the Service Call or Project with which the activity is associated.
Customer The customer associated with the activity.
Equipment Serial No. The serial number of the equipment record.
Technician The active technicians in the displayed map area, based on the location data received from the mobile application. Please refer to the following for information on Auto-Location.

Calendar Selector

By selecting either the start or end date fields, the application will display a calendar which can be used to select the service call/activity date:

This is primarily used to view planned activities set to occur on a given date.

Display Record Type

Here, you can select which records you would like to display on the service map. Options include:

  • Activities
  • Technicians
  • Customers
  • Equipment

For example, when the Equipment option is selected, the application would display the equipment records, which would then display on the map:

Street View

By selecting this and dragging and dropping it on a position within the map, you will be able to view the street-level view of the point on the route.
