When a team with a lot of different mindsets and ideas is building a product , they need a bit of structure and one common language to determine how to tackle it. To reach this collective way of thinking, we went outside of our office to get some fresh air and brainstorm our new product manifesto. It was important that every opinion and view from the product team was mirrored in our new manifesto since we have to work with it every day.
In to create a product customers love, as a first step, we collected thoughts on on our beliefs.
After collecting and discussing similar thoughts, we voted on our five favorites.
The most challenging part of the whole practice was to formulate the manifesto while taking into account our five highlights. By having guidelines, there is always wiggle room. And how you are going to take it is always a matter of opinion. Nevertheless, it was important that reading our manifesto would help us align with each other.

Understanding the real user problem should help us create the right solution. We are not going to implement any customer-specific processes without understanding needs and problems.
FOR COMPLEX PROBLEMS, CHOOSE SIMPLE & INTUITIVE SOLUTIONS OVER DOCUMENTATION
If you don’t need any manuals and documentation, your solution will be easy and intuitive.
PERFORMANCE & AVAILABILITY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
Our solution should be fast and reachable no matter a customer’s location.
WORK HARD & HAVE FUN AS A TEAM
To do a great job, you have to do the things you love and are good at. That way, you will be happy and have fun working.
