Intro

The following table outlines which attachments are supported by the following clients in different scenarios:

Client Supported File Types
iOS We support only displaying attachments on these objects, no creation.

Attachments are displayed in a web view. There is no official documentation about the exact file types that are supported (it can also differ from one iOS version to another one), but generally all common image, text, video, office document file tyes are supported. All attachments (even those not supported in web view) can be opened in an external application.
Android We only support displaying attachments on these objects, not creation.
  • The attachments are displayed: for images and pdfs - inside application.
  • Others - using external applications, if any installed (images can also be opened in ext. app.)
Windows We only support displaying attachments on these objects, not creation. The attachments are displayed using external applications.
MDM
  • Item, Person:
    CRUD for all types of attachments supported by cloud separate view, add & delete of picture attachments (PNG,TIFF,GIF,JPG,JPEG,TIF,BMP) - allow one picture (used as thumbnail) per object
  • Business Partner, Equipment:
    CRUD for all types of attachments supported by cloud
Dispatcher or technician attaches pictures or technical documentation to a service transaction
