In a Nutshell

The Coresystems Analytics & Reportings dashboard allows you to visually track key performance indicators, so that managers can see at a glance how departments, teams and employees are performing. Dashboard reports are the quickest and most effective means of representing data in an understandable and actionable manner.

With the Analytics & Reporting module it has never been easier to quickly build dashboard reports using pre-assembled queries, view and manage existing reports, and import report templates.

A Closer Look

When you create a new record, you will enter the following information:

Field Description
Select a Sample Chart Here you can select from a number of the most commonly-used, high value queries.
Chart Title The title of the chart. By selecting a pre-built query, a default name will be generating. However, you can give the dashboard report your own unique name.
Chart Type The type of chart you would like the data to rendered in. Options include: column; pie; and line.

You can also create a dashboard report by selecting the Advanced Settings option:

Field Description
Query Here you can input your own SQL query
DTO In this field you must indicate which version of the Data Transfer Object (example: BusinessPartner.20) you would like to use.

The following is an example SQL Query:

SELECT bp.name, count(bp.name) FROM Activity a JOIN BusinessPartner bp ON a.businessPartner = bp.id
WHERE a.checkedOut = false GROUP BY bp.name ORDER BY bp.name DESC LIMIT 20

How do I use it?

Create Report with Pre-built Query

The Reporting Dashboard includes pre-built queries addressing some of the most important dashboard scenarios you may face.



Modify Query DTO Version

You can return data for different version of a Data Transfer Object by selecting the Advanced Settings option from a Dashboard report, and updating the DTO version.




Viewing and Generating Reports

Reports can be generated and viewed by going to the Analytics & Reporting app and signing in with your coresystems account credentials.

After selecting the report you created from the Templates dropdown menu, you can then select the generate button to display the report.



Generated reports can then be downloaded by selecting the download icon from the action row. Generated reports can be downloaded to PDF, excel, and/or Word format.
